Even though our characters share the same client face, each of us see their features differently. It's an image hidden within our minds and is based on the personality traits and experiences our characters have been through.
I wanted to draw that image I had in mind and give faces to some of favorite characters. As I started to use them as profile avatars in forums, other people took interest and started ordering them from me. I set my price at 500 000 gold pieces, which was a nice sum of money at the time. Eventually I quit doing this because the waiting list was getting overwhelming and the stress of knowing that people were waiting was too much. These days I don't make portraits anymore.

It all started with this portrait.
I often visit the UOSS message boards & write under the name of my best known character, Saphireena. At these boards,
you have the option of placing a 65x75 pixel sized pic on the left hand column, a pic that would represent you.
So I decided to make one of Saphireena, drawing the whole thing in Photoshop. It was a fascinating portrait to do,
for as I worked on it, Saphi's personality started to show through and reveal itself.
