As with many others, this creature also was clearly just a rendered 3d model, not taking the style of UO's legacy graphics into consideration at all (bottom). I wanted to see what it could look like if it were made with the cuteness of the UO creatures in mind (top).
EA'S RIDGEBACK:
- Mismatched with other UO creatures
- Face hardly visible, in general details don't stand out. Hard to decypher the anatomy.
- Lacking the cuteness and soul of UO creatures.

 hen I posted it in the forums, someone commented that it looks like a penis. Haha they were so right! I hadn't even noticed, so I SWIFTLY went to work modifying it to look less phallic. :-)))
