One of the attractions to playing UO is the chance to become 100% anonymous. Of course you are not anonymous to
Origin, and if you do bad things in the game, you will be hearing from them. But you are anonymous to every single player that you meet, until you decide to reveal your identity, if you do.
Also exchanging e-mail addresses, ICQ numbers etc reveal who you are in one way or another. But if you refuse to give
out any information then you can in fact be truly anonymous to all people you meet there. What wonderful
freedom! Makes you wonder if super stars play UO, one would think that this feature would be especially
attractive to them.
Thats what this slot is for. To have even one character that no-one knows, that no-one can associate with me or my
other characters.
