Each Saturday we have a new DJ playing their favourite tunes on the Big Mamas Nightclub playlists
(see Music). This ensures a good variety in music, something for everyone.
Oh, lemme guess? You'd like to be DJ some weekend also? Sure! No problem as long as you fit this description:
You just gotta be devoted and serious about your task. This means you must plan out your playlist, present it to
me, and after I have authorized your choice, you must encode your own MP3's and upload them to the Big Mamas Nightclub playlists
on Live365.com. It's a lot of work really. Then, it goes without saying that you must reserve your whole evening to
standing in the DJ booth (20 - 24 GMT) and partying up the people. The way you act as a DJ, can largely influence the
atmosphere on the dance floor. Do you have what it takes? Read on then.
You have a fast connection like cable, T1, ADSL
This is unnegotiable, sorry. The DJ MUST be able to both listen to their playlist AND play UO at the same time. This is
important so they can call out the next song, and live out the atmosphere of the songs. For instance it wouödn't be too
cool to say "Yayyyyyyy party ooooon people!!" while playing a Radiohead song. Get my drift?
The music you would play is suitable for playing in a nightclub
We like to have Saturdays with different themes. Punk nights, indie nights, goth nights, industrial nights,
dance nights, hip hop nights, 80's nights etc etc etc. But the music has got to be chosen so that it isn't unbearable
to listen to for the majority of people. It's always safest to go with well known hits, and a varied mixture.
Boring I know, but we want the people to come into the nightclub, not out of it *laughs*.
Still sound like something you'd like to do? Fill out this form.
